To make things worse, Spike has decided to send the Order of Taraka after Buffy. He wants to keep her out of the picture long enough to finish deciphering a spell that will rejuvenate Drusilla. But nothing goes quite the way anyone expects, and Buffy is left with more questions than answers.

Previously, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ethan Rayne revealed that Giles used to be … the Ripper. Well, Ethan is back in town, and so are other entities from Giles’ youth. Ripper’s past is coming back to endanger Giles, Miss. Calendar, and even Buffy. Suddenly the most responsible member of the Buffy gang must rely on his teenage charges to rescue him from his youthful follies.

But she has the unfortunate habit of sucking the souls from innocent people. Buffy and the gang race to find the mummy who’s right under their noses. Meanwhile, Willow struggles to set aside her unrequited feelings for Xander even as she attracts the attention of a laid-back musician.
