Buffy and Xander each have a first date. Buffy goes to dinner with Principal Wood, who is finally prepared to reveal startling details about his past. Xander picks up Ashanti at a hardware store. Only one of these two dates ends up with someone suspended above the hellmouth. Meanwhile, the First tries to manipulate Andrew into taking care of a potential problem.
